ESSCA Meeting November 12: The Community Flood Risk Program

The next meeting of the East Silver Spring Civic Association is Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

We'll meet at the Sligo Avenue rec building at 500 Sligo Ave. 

Our guest at the ESSCA meeting is Helen Acurso, the planning specialist in the Department of Environmental Protection.

Montgomery County has recently begun a comprehensive flood management planning process to better understand how to plan for extreme rain events as the climate continues to change. The meeting is open to all residents of the East Silver Spring area, regardless of whether they are members of the Association.
