Shape the future of your community! East Silver Spring needs leaders to serve on the ESSCA board. There are five roles: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and Recording Secretary.
What does ESSCA do, exactly? It…
plans events to bring neighbors together through music, the arts, community service, and good food and drink
provides neighborhood communication channels through our Facebook group, listserv, website, and email newsletter
connects residents to County services, government, and events
partners with community organizations such as the ESS Elementary PTA, Koiner Farm/CKC Farming, ArtSpace, and CreateArts
If you want to get involved, please contact the Nomination Coordinator, Amanda Hurley, by email at hurleyak@gmail.com or by text at 443-253-7910 (no calls please). Submit your nomination by April 15. The nominees will be announced on Facebook, on the listserv and in the newsletter.
The current president of the board is Kate Myers. Corresponding Secretary Kathy Napierla does not intend to seek reelection. To learn about the other roles on the board, currently vacant, contact Kate at esscaprez@gmail.com.
Candidates for board positions must have been an ESSCA member during the prior year or any previous year.
